Hawai'i Island United Way
Mahalo for your interest in supporting the Hawai'i Island United Way 2024-2025 Campaign!
This year's campaign, "Power of Giving," symbolizes hope and unity for the communities of Hawai'i Island. It invites anyone passionate about creating a positive impact to come together, connect, and honor the strength of giving. This project is more than just fundraising; it aims to unite people's hearts and efforts in supporting crucial education, health, and financial stability programs that impact many lives throughout the island.
Last year, with your help:
- Over $300,000 was provided in direct support of 37critical health and human service programs that 28 nonprofit partner agencies run. These programs help individuals and their families, ranging from young children to elderly individuals. Some services provided include preschool programs for keiki, after-school programs for school-aged children, mental health, substance abuse, family support for adults, adult day health programs, and transportation assistance for kupuna.
- Over $400,000 went toward serving hot meal/filling pantries (addressing food insecurities) and ensuring individuals received shelter.
- More than $22,000 was raised to aid individuals impacted by the Maui Fires.
- We were able to serve 283,977 people through the partner agency program directly.
Hawai’i Island United Way stands firm in its commitment to uniting partner agencies and supporting the local community amidst these uncertain times. Our Board and staff remain steadfast in pursuing our mission, and we will continue to provide aid and support to those in need.
Let us preserve the spirit of aloha as we face the challenges ahead. With your support, Hawai’i Island United Way will remain a beacon of hope. Donate, volunteer, or share skills to strengthen our social fabric and ensure no one is left behind. Join our #powerofgiving campaign, and together, let's change lives one act of kindness at a time.
Mahalo for being part of this journey.
Stay safe, stay well, and Live United.
